Know about the history of mathematics is very important to begin study mathematics. Basic from the history of mathematics is the numeral systems, it contain about primitive counting, number bases, ciphered numeral systems, Hindu-Arabic numeral system, and etc.
Axioms, postulates, and theorems, all of that contain in the history of mathematics. If we study the history of mathematics, we understood the first step to find the formula, therefore we can find problem solving from the questions.

The al-jabr is considered the foundational text of modern algebra. It provided an exhaustive account of solving polynomial equations up to the second degree,and introduced the fundamental methods of "reduction" and "balancing", referring to the transposition of subtracted terms to the other side of an equation, that is, the cancellation of like terms on opposite sides of the equation.
Al-Khawarizmis method of solving linear and quadratic equations worked by first reducing the equation to one of six standard forms (where b and c are positive integers)
squares equal roots (ax² = bx)
squares equal number (ax² = c)
roots equal number (bx = c)
squares and roots equal number (ax² + bx = c)
squares and number equal roots (ax² + c = bx)
roots and number equal squares (bx + c = ax²)
If we know the step to solve the problem, of course we can apply that to the other problem. And history of mathematics use to know indepth about mathematics.
I think mathematics is universal, mathematics can use for many knowledge. In physics, biology, chemistry, language, moreover, in our live, we usually use mathematics into the transaction, at the market, at the shop, or at the little shop, in addition in our environment, we usually use mathematics. Therefore, know about mathematics is very important in our life. If we want to know about mathematics, of course we must knew about the history of mathematics.
All of human, animals, plants in the earth, begin from the history. If we don’t have a history, of course we never life in the earth.
